Early Birthday Celebration

So we decided to go out on Saturday for an early birthday celebration. We went to my favorite restaurant Chevy's. I love the nachos there, and when it's your birthday they sing and bring you a sombrero. I love it there.

My little family makes me happy. After dinner we went home for a family movie night. We watched Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaur. I loved my outfit on Saturday so here are a couple of pictures. My shoes are from They have so many cute shoes and they are affordable.

I also was loving my curls on Saturday. happy early birthday to me. Thanks Amiclubwear for the shoes.

Little Artist

Lexi has been wanting to take an art class since last year and I kept forgetting to enroll her. Well I finally did. She started class on Thursday after school at an art studio. I love the artistic environment, it inspired me. Maybe I'll end up taking a class too.

My lil artist was so happy. She wants to be an artist when she grows up. Her finished work for the day was so beautiful it will be hung up in our own little art gallery (the living room).

Junior was so busy with his favorite thing right now, hot wheels. He loves them and brings them everywhere we go, which I imagine most little boys do.

And They're Off! Back To School

Today is my kids first day back at school. Lexi just started 1st grade at a new school, she was extra excited to make new friends. Junior is still in Pre-K and was excited to get back to his old school routine. I miss them already and they have only been gone for a couple of hours. I always feel a little sad once school starts back up. I miss the summer and all the adventures we had, but I am excited for all the new adventures we will have this fall and winter. I look forward to the kids coming home with so many new stories about they're day.

Elmer's Glue Face Mask

I love trying DIY beauty treatments and experimenting with all different types of ingredients. I heard about an Elmer's glue face mask and I thought to myself "hey we have plenty of glue around here, I've gotta try it". Of course if you do try this don't use anything else than nontoxic Elmer's glue. It's not harmful and of course don't put it near your eyes.
Well I applied the glue in a thick coat to my t-zone. You can apply to your whole face or just any area you want. This mask really cleans your pores and makes them appear smaller. I let the glue dry. It turns clear when it's completely dry. It takes about 15 minutes to completely dry. Then I peeled it off. If you apply a thick coat of glue, it will come off easier and in one piece. If you apply a thinner coat it will be a bit harder to peel off.

Overall this face mask is cheap and easy. It left my skin smooth and it removed the blackheads on my nose.

My daughter walked in as I was trying the glue mask. "mom what are you doing?" lol. I explained and of course she knows not to do it. I showed her a trick my friends and I used to do in elementary school. Write or draw something on any part of your skin, usually we did it on our hands. Then apply a thick coat of glue and let it dry. Peel off slowly and the design would come with it. She thought it was sooo cool, just like I did when I was her age.

Let me know if you tried the Elmer's glue face mask and if you liked it.

Wow I can't believe summer is almost over. We have had a lot of fun though. Playground and crafting and lots of fun places. We went to Sesame Place in PA twice this summer. My kids love it. This weekend we are going to the beach to celebrate the end of summer. I wish summer would never end but nothing lasts forever. I'll leave you with some pictures of our summer adventures.

Busy Busy Busy...

I have been so busy this past week that I haven't even been able to post. I'm still here and I have a couple of giveaways coming up this week, so stay tuned.
Just posting really quickly to share a picture of one of the biggest blessings I have ever received. My beautiful princess Lexi. Her spring celebration school show was on Monday and she looked so beautiful, I just had to share. She said all her lines perfectly and afterwards we went out to celebrate with a family dinner.
